Petrichor✨☺

           Before the Christmas holidays, we the whole college celebrated Christmas by dancing, cake cutting and exchange of gifts. We all dressed in red and we also enacted the drama of birth of jesus Christ on stage. Afternoon session, we celebrated it in our classroom with seniors and our teacher.  So it was a fun filled celebration together. 

     Our college has ready for Christmas and everywhere we can see that joy. Among students we exchanged Christmas gifts and also participated in corner making competition. As  a big Christmas present we won the first prize in the competition only because of our group effort. 

            School induction is a one week program conducting in every BEd training colleges for the first year students. This is a program with the idea of making the students aware of working of a school properly and to analyse the whole infrastructure facility of a school as well. That one week we all had to watch around the school and also handle classes just by engaging with the students for sometime. I got Sarvodaya central School for the induction visit. I had a wonderful experience from the school for the whole week. 

                On world human rights day , the social science optional conducted a quiz competition about the Human Rights Commission. The very interesting thing was that every one of us has participated in the competition as a group of 3. We participated actively and they coordinated the session well. And finally the team of Lakshmi, Jeena and Malavika of english optional won the first prize. 

                 As part of Christmas, we the English association EMRYS 2k22 conducted a treasure hunt competition titled " WERIFESTERIA ". We made posters and done announcements regarding the competition. We did it in the afternoon break and almost all the optionals participated in it actively. Finally after the game had over, the senior group of natural science found the treasure and won the competition. 

               On the day of anti corruption, natural science optional had conducted a solidarity declaration hands on wall program. They prepared everything needed for the program like white cloth board and the red coloured water to dip the hands in it. So after an official welcome they called upon our principal sir to inaugrate it by placing his hands on the wall. Followed by him all teachers non-teaching staffs students participated actively. 

                     I got a chance to experience an oath taking ceremony. I was so happy to be one among them who took the oath. I never had an experience like this before and also I was so excited too for the ceremony. The elected candidates were supposed to take the oath to remember the duties and responsibilities assigned to them. Dr. K. Y. Benedict sir led the oath for the chairperson and then chairperson followed after him for the others. After the oath taking we distributed sweets for all and took group photo with principal and teachers. We also had an official meeting with principal teachers and staff after the ceremony. 

             The Union election for 2022 had done on December 7th. Unlike the other colleges, we had election within the candidates. Three candidates from each class participated in the election process. Finally after all the process of selection, Renjitha became the chairperson, Haritha became the vice chairperson and Shafina became the general secretary. I got elected as the English association secretary. Then principal congratulated the winners and praised the spirit of the candidates. Every teachers got really excited about our sportsman spirit and the energy level that we had in the election process. It was really a novel experience to me and I'm so thankful to my dear friends and teacher to gave me the opportunity to represent our class in election. 

  Yoga is the practice of quieting your mind. We had a yoga class under the guidance of a professional yoga trainer. He began the class by giving us an introduction to yoga and it's benefits. He gave the proper guidance and we did accordingly. The principal sir welcomed him officially and introduced him in detail. The very first thing he did was giving correct warm up for the each and every body parts. We spend the hour really worthy and effectively. 

                Our college celebrated the aids day on December 1st and had a small oath taking session too. Our principal read out the oath and we repeated his words after him.  A speech on some ideas about preventive measure of aids had given by Joju sir. Then all of us are given by a candle and we lit it . Then principal gave instruction to place the lighted candles in the shape of aids symbol. We took photos after the pledge.
